Podcast: Elvis at the VMFA, McDonnell’s Budget and Gun Laws
We’re back from a holiday break with a three-part show. We start by talking with Robin Nicholson, Deputy Director for Art and Education at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. He discusses the “Elvis at 21″ photography exhibit as well news that the museum’s Fabrege egg exhibit will be going on tour. He also recounts a story of digging through the basement at the British Museum looking for mummies.
Michael Cassidy, the President and CEO of The Commonwealth Institute, is next. He helps us analyze what’s in (and what’s been cut) from Governor Bob McDonnell’s proposed budget.
Finally we talk with Andrew Goddard, a gun control advocate and parent of a Virginia Tech shooting victim. He fills us in on the myriad of pro-gun legislation that’s being introduced in the General Assembly.
